SHISEIDO, the century old leading Japanese beauty Group, has, since the arrival of its new CEO in 2014, turned around its organisation, building a One Shiseido company with 6 regional units (Japan, China, EMEA, APAC, Americas, Travel Retail). Already, the Group has seen its first positive results with a turnaround of sales volume, a new dynamic within the company and in markets, new brand portfolio (with key addition of Dolce & Gabbana beauty), and new ambition to become a leading Group in beauty in all its markets.
In EMEA markets, the ambition is to become the n°5 Group in beauty (n°8 as of today), and move from challenger to leader
In the Middle East Travel Retail, SHISEIDO has already a sizable business with strong relationship with most operators. The ambition is to grow the sales by 50% in the coming 5 years thanks to the launch of a few major brands (including Dolce & Gabbana but also other brands of the Group) and thanks to a stronger organisation and team taking care of the area
To materialize those goals, SHISEIDO is now looking for its Area Sales Manager Middle East + India
-> The position is based in Paris for the first 4 to 6 month and then in Dubai LA MISSION
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager TR for the Middle East, Africa and India, you are in charge of :
- developing the sales of our skincare, make-up and fragrance lines on the area (UAE, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrein, Oman, Jordania, plus India as a new market to develop), in a region where fragrance represents 2/3rd of the business as of now
- evaluating the best strategies and partners to increase our business in the area outside Dubai (40% of the local turnover), providing a real input on the regional risks and opportunities
- liaising with the RSM for the validation and implementation of your commercial plans
- managing a team of 2 retail executives who are taking care of the sell out across the area, covering 50 beauty consultants
- handling the relationship with our local distributors and partners with a very hands-on approach, implementing practical solutions in a fast-paced business environment

LES QUALITES REQUISES
- you have at least 6 years of experience in Travel Retail sales within the beauty industry (ideally you have worked fragrance, skincare and make-up) with a geographical focus on the Middle East and/or Europe
- you have a true entrepreneurial mindset, with a focus on developing new markets, finding new opportunities and growing a business that is to be developed and/or to be created
- you are practical and hands-on oriented, implementing ideas and solutions that are directly connected to the field
- you know how to develop trustful relations with your local partners, with a strong sense of human contact and soft commercial approach
- you have a managerial dimension and the potential to evolve inside the group
- you are ready to relocate to Dubai within the end of 2017 and travel throughout the area
- you are very proficient in English. A plus, but not necessary would be proficiency in Arabic and/or French
